Lindsey Milton Thornton, 76, of Bismarck passed away April 1, 2018. Lindsey was born to the late Gilliam and Maggie Prince Thornton in Bismarck, Arkansas on September 30, 1941. Lindsey was inducted into the Arkansas Auction Hall of Fame; he was also a previous member of the International Rodeo Association, former President and longtime volunteer/supporter of the Arkansas 4H Club, former president of Bismarck Business Association and founder of the Bismarck Bash.
Lindsey is preceded in death by his parents, Gilliam Moore Thornton and Maggie Lizbeth Prince Thornton.
Lindsey is survived by his children, Debbie Patterson, Terry Thornton, Brian H Thornton and Zac Thornton, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, along with his sisters, Marjorie Thornton and Marsha Lee.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with funeral arrangements.
